The Breaker of transnational power supply problem —— Wolong successfully delivered Inverter Power Supply and Motor Driven EPC project in Middle East
In today's changing global energy pattern, transnational cross-standard power supply has become a big challenge. Due to historical reasons, the power systems in the Middle East are different among countries. Recently, Wolong successfully delivered the first set of frequency conversion power supply in the Middle East, providing Chinese solution to this challenge.
The project successfully converted the 33kV/50Hz power supply of Saudi Arabia power grid into 13.8kV/60Hz output, which matched the needs of power supply system in Kuwait Oilfield and realized the seamless connection of transnational cross-standard power supply. Wolong, as a core equipment supplier, has provided two sets of container-type high-power frequency conversion power supplies and four sets of container-type skid-mounted frequency converter devices, which has provided a strong guarantee for the successful delivery of the project and the operation of Kuwait Oilfield.
Innovative solutions to solve power supply problems
Efficient driving, energy saving and environmental protection: 4 sets of 5MW container-type skid-mounted frequency converters, which can drive the water pump to run, realize high efficiency and energy saving, and reduce the operating cost.
Adapting to harsh environment and stable operation: the equipment adopts outdoor container design, and the air conditioner and refrigeration unit adopt special design of high temperature resistance, which can adapt to the high temperature environment of 55℃ on site and ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment.
Redundant design, flexible power supply, safety and reliability: two sets of container-type frequency conversion power supplies (FC) can operate independently or in parallel, and can be switched flexibly according to actual needs, which can meet the needs of large-power power supply in the oilfield and realize uninterrupted power supply during maintenance, thus ensuring uninterrupted production in the oilfield. A single set of frequency conversion power supply (FC) device has a capacity of 32MVA, an incoming voltage of 33kV/50Hz and an output voltage of 13.8kV/60Hz, which supports direct input into the downstream 15MVA distribution transformer and provides safe and reliable power guarantee for on-site production equipment.

The successful delivery of this project fully demonstrates the application strength of Wolong's 32MVA high-voltage high-power frequency conversion system in high-temperature environment, and reflects Wolong's innovation in high-power frequency conversion technology and motor drive technology, and its ability to implement overseas projects.
